Each episode only has one music video. If more videos are listed, they replaced the video in subsequent seasons as intended.
The backing tracks could have been replaced or not. If you are watching an episode and you don't hear ALL of the backing tracks listed, you are watching a cut/edited version of that episode. Watch my videos off my YouTube channel and avoid all that.

NOTES
* This song is in the Hebrew version of the show but not in the 1984 Spanish run or the existing English version. Additionally, the song in the Hebrew version does not have sound effects on the cartoon itself, which infers strongly that it was added afterwards. But the stock song in the Spanish and English versions DO have sound effects, which makes me think those were the original versions. However, it seems crazy to think the original run of the show used a stock copyright free song instead of a licensed backing track. But 1) the Spanish version with the original Bananarama video has the stock song and 2) Karma Chameleon is not listed in the ending credits of the Hebrew version. However, the Kidd Video Flipside website has it listed, which would infer that they heard the song on it. It could very well be that they are from Israel and remember hearing the song.
My guess is that Saban intended to have this song play for the western market but something happened before air and the stock song was just kept in. But in Isreal, which we know is strongly connected to DIC and Kidd Video, they had a locally cleared right to play it but they had to hastily add it in later.
** This song is in the credits but I haven't heard it in any of the versions I have. Additionally, someone in the comments section on Reddit mentioned they remembered the Thompson Twins in Kidd Video, and this is the only mention of that band in all 26 episodes.
*** This is listed on the Kidd Video Flipside website. While we technically have no idea what it could be, it's possible it is If It Isn't Love. One day while watching TV in the late 80s or possibly early 90s, I saw an episode of it and the music video featured a bunch of young black dancers in front of a white background, and the music video for this song features exactly that. The Johnny Hates Jazz song is from late 1987 so they definitely were replacing music videos up until that point at least. However, there are no songs listed after 1987, and If It Isn't Love is from 1988.
☆ We know these songs were in the show but we don't know exactly what portion of the song was featured, so basically that information is totally lost. Video clips were usually one minute out of a video. Without at least a little bit of the featured video, we'll never know where the video started and ended.
